My late friend Gary had a neighbor who had one of those in association with a large light-bar on the room of his pickup truck, able to turn any road from midnight to noon in a single moment, and the kind of person who would pull into the driveways of whoever he was pissed of at the time (usually for calling to complain about one of four season things: the snowmobile with no sound suppression system, the chainsaw for taking down dead trees at 6:30 am, the 4x4 with no sound suppression system, or the leafblower from Hell) and turn it on at 11 PM just to disrupt things, or pull up behind someone and turn it on if you were going slower than he felt you should.

Gary put one of those million-candlepower lamps in the back window, then mirror-coated the back window. If you didn’t blind yourself he’d help. That guy nearly crashed himself multiple times. (And is not why I describe him as late - Gary died being mugged at a gas station a decade later.)
