Spotted this downtown this afternoon.

This one is in somewhat better condition, although it's important to keep in mind that unlike nowadays, no 1966 Chevrolet pickup ever looked quite this fancy when new. That paint job isn't something Chevy was doing back in the day. :)

You can tell it's a 1966, specifically, from the side badge. For some reason, Chevrolet completely redesigned them every year. Also note that this one is the "Custom" trim level, easily spotted by the side moldings, the chrome grille, those chrome bits on the sail panels behind the windows, and the big rear window. Why GM saw fit to do two different sizes of back window in the first generation of the C/K pickups, I have no idea, but they did.

Nice wheels! With the classic BFG Radial T/A tires, of course. Radials weren't a thing in 1966, but RT/As have been the aftermarket tire of choice for classic car people for generations at this point.

Couldn't get a good picture of the interior thanks to the glare on the windows, but it's all custom--though whoever owns this one did put exactly the same aftermarket tachometer in it that we did, and has eerily similar taste in saddle blanket seat covers. :)
