They’ve been drip-feeding Robotech media since the mid 90s specifically to keep the weirdos happy and hopeful for a proper resurgence. And also to pay rent on their realty office.

I personally believe there is a market for a film of that sort, just HG isn't capable of pulling it off.

I've even got a timeline of how I'd do it, not that I know how to sell a pitch. It'd be a Davion-centric POV from the 3rd Succession war up to the end of the FC Civil War- I have no idea how to touch the Jihad and later stuff, but there'd be room to do a spinoff about Kerensky and the fall of the Star League.

Considering the deal with Disney through Hulu, that could give them what they want if they stopped acting like idiots.
