The thing for me is that I tend to get, at a minimum, very twitchy when it comes to material where the characters don't at least seem to be trying to respect consent. And, well, it doesn't sound like there's much caring about that at all in the series, so it would probably end up being the kind of situation that only ends in tears and fire.
