#0, Lord of Mysteries: A good show, but...ARGH!

Lord of Mysteries is a Chinese production airing on Crunchyroll, with beautiful animation, impressive worldbuilding, and what appears to be a solid magic system. Then in episode two, the main character fires a revolver and the shell casing drops to the floor. ARGH! that's not how it works who animated this could they have done just a tiny bit of research i can't believe this mistake made it past storyboarding... Anyhow, it's otherwise quite nice, it appears that it has a well-written mystery at its core (promise looks good, but first two episodes isn't a guarantee), and I think it's worth a look. Well, if you have time in a season which also has the return of My Dress-Up Darling, The Rising of the Shield Hero, and Kaiju #8, among others. Peter Eng -- Insert humorous comment here.

>Then in episode two, the main character fires a revolver and the >shell casing drops to the floor. > >ARGH!Fun fact: there have been ejecting revolvers in the history of firearms. They're very rare and usually very weird, so it's vanishingly unlikely that such a thing is actually featured in that scene, but they do exist! To be fair, there are not a lot of privately owned firearms in China. --G. then again, there aren't many in Japan either, but they nerd out on that stuff. Have I told the story about the time a bunch of guys from Toshiba showed up at the commercial range I used to go to in California? I feel like I must have. -><- Benjamin D. And it is a rather overdecorated revolver, so it's possible it's one of those rarities. Probably a custom order from somebody with more money than sense. > >then again, there aren't many in Japan either, but they >nerd out on that stuff. I was told once that the main reason there are so many gun clubs in Hawaii is so that Japanese tourists can play "Dirty Harry."

These guys were so bad at following instructions and basic safety rules that they got thrown out en masse. The PR lady from Toshiba USA who was saddled with tour-guiding them around was mortified. Although the rangemaster did invite her back to take their class on introducing your gun-illiterate friends to the wonderful world of not getting thrown out of ranges. --G. -><- Benjamin D.
