I don't drink alcohol. No real reason, I just never got into it.

And yet, here I am, watching two anime that are about alcohol.

The more serious of the two is The Drops of God. Toyotaka Kanzaki passes away, and leaves a will. His son, Shizuku, must face off against Toyotaka's recently-adopted son, Issei Tomine, in a wine tasting challenge: Identify thirteen wines by year, region, and vintner, the last of which is a rarity called The Drops of God. The winner inherits the entire estate, including a multi-million yen wine collection.

Shizuku's problem is, he never learned to love wine, and doesn't drink it. But with the help of a young sommelier, Miyabi Shinohara, he's going to try to win.

Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk is a more iyashikei approach to alcohol. Botan Kamiina managed to make into her first-choice college on her second try. While on an outing, she discovers that her RA, Ibuki Tonami, is a solo drinker because she can't deal with the stares she gets from hiccuping due to alcohol. Since Botan doesn't mind Ibuki's hiccups, and likes alcohol, Ibuki now has somebody to talk with while drinking.

Now, if only Botan wouldn't slip into accidental double entendres after her first drink...

Needy Girl Overdose
This, surprisingly, looks to be a new sequel to the viral game from 2022 instead of re-telling its plot. Anime wise itself, it's very evocative of Serial Experiments Lain and Monogatari. I'm not entirely sure I'm the audience for it (or in the right mood, perhaps), but tentatively watching it for now. I'm expecting this to be an episode 4 drop.

Seriously, I'd put season 2 of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten ahead of this one for biggest fantasy, although the "two gyaru, one geek" setup means it's a close race.

The only one to catch my attention so far is Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku.

A young, brilliant and VERY bored prince meets his fiance, who vows to him she will be the villainess necessary for him to get his happy ending with the heroine.

He has no idea what this computer game she's talking about is... but she's interesting and unpredictable , so when she mentions events he remembers them and starts thinking. Meanwhile his fiancee's efforts to be villainess run into the obstacle that she's a loveable cinnamon roll who everyone likes.

The Witch Hat Atelier anime has started airing and frankly it seems tailor-made for Gryph to hurl into the kitchen sink of UF. Cute girls! Magic! Adventure! Vast government conspiracy! The main cast all needing a hug! Look at Agott she is Baby Lesbian Tsuntsun for the main girl and she is Perfect and I want to put her in my pocket and feed her snacks!

Seriously though. The manga is really good, and the anime is beautiful. Give it a watch.

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

Just caught up on it today, and added to my watchlist. I like that a mistake in episode 2 becomes a solution in episode 3.

I'm waiting for Coco to add a compass and ruler to her toolkit. It works for cutting fabric, why not for drawing magic circles?
