Grimlock's part in the movie last night reminded me of something in the old Marvel comics. Toward the end of the run, when they introduced the slightly weird concept of the Action Masters (Transformers who could not transform, on account of the toys were just action figures of their robot modes), there's a passage where Grimlock, who was much smarter in the comics, delivered a lengthy dissertation about how the war between the Autobots and Decepticons was essentially irresolvable thanks to the fundamental differences in the two factions' outlooks...

... but he did it all in the Hulk-esque broken English of the cartoon version. "Me Grimlock say war about genetics." It was one of the weirdest things I can remember seeing in those comics.
