New season, new thread.

The shows I'll start the season watching:

A Wild Last Boss Appeared season 2 - Season 1 was great. The novel, which I read to completion, is great. The manga, which I am current on, is great.
Romelia Senki - The novel for this is excellent and occasionally managed to surprise me, hoping for a good adaptation.
Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden - I've had the novel in my to try queue forever so might as well just watch the anime instead to see if it's any good.
Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita / The World's Strongest Witch - I am coming in completely blind here so this is just a trial.
Toaru Anbu no ITEM - I'm slightly a Raildex fan and know the plot for this story and I've always liked the ITEM team

So 3 shows I'm reasonably confident I'll watch all the way through, 2 I'll be trying with willingness to drop at any time.

For my side, we have

Reincarnated as a Sword season 2, I love the manga and liked the first season, so this is a for sure watch
DragonBall Super: Beerus, I'm a Dragonball fan, what can I say? Of course I'm gonna watch this.
Psyren is finally getting an anime? Oh frig yeah, I read the HELL out of that when it was brought over as part of the english Shonen Jump. I think it had gotten cancelled, but the massive love it gained from being printed got a conclusion made? Anyway, I can't remember enough to summarize, but psychics trying to save the world from a prophecized catastrophe, I think?
Magic Knight Reyearth (2026) I mean, of course I'm gonna. I need to see more Umi, Hikaru, and Fuu!
Reborn as a Space Mercenary, been reading the manga for this for years, I wanna see it animated! I wonder how it differs from the LNs.
Reborn as a Goblin is another one I've been reading for years! Don't worry, this isn't your usual kind of goblins. And it's certainly no Re:Monster, eugh.
Gensou Suikoden, oh my gosh, this one should be good. Based on the PSX game! Of course, I've only really played Suikoden 2, so maybe it won't be as interesting as I'm thinking it will be, but we'll see.

Looks like I might have my season somewhat packed. That'll be good, considering how bored I was this one. A few good ones ended up showing up over Summer, but I just blitzed through them in a couple of days.

+1 to both of these. Anything that does reincarnation without being Yet Another Fantasy Universe gets a first watch at minimum.

And I like the trailer I saw for Reborn as a Goblin. (I also liked Re:Monster, but Goblin hits a different part of my anime dopamine.)

So I saw the blurb for this, and it said something like "and those he beats have to serve him loyally for eternity." That sounds uncomfortably like some of the slavery fetish anime I hate. With that in mind, how bad is that factor?

I appreciate you clearing that up. I did have totally the wrong idea about it, apparently. I'll give it a chance.

Because I've played games using this method, Overgeared appeals to me on its premise alone - conquer a game primarily by creating equipment that is utterly overpowered.

Hello, I am a Witch and My Crush Wants Me to Make a Love Potion! looks like a romcom at first glance. She crushes on a prince who doesn't think that witches deserve to die for existing, he wants a love potion and comes to her. Chaos presumably ensues.

As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World and Sasaki and Peeps join A Wild Last Boss Appeared as returning shows that I have high expectations for. I'm not so sure about Chitose is in the Ramune Bottle, but I'm sticking with it for now.

I read the first LN. It's decent - fluffy with some action. If you liked Bofuri, you'll probably enjoy it.

Just two for me:

Mission Yozakura Family Season Two Part Two (or whatever the official name is in English), because I'm invested.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners Season 2 - Because TGITS fanned my appetite for good cyberpunk.

The World's Strongest Witch is a variant on the "isekai into a game" setup.

Lorna Hermit is born into the game. After being thrown out of her father's home and denied use of his name, she experiments with her SSS skill, Internet. The first thing she discovers is a wiki about the game based on the world that she lives in.

The next thing she discovers is a game-breaking staff that should only be accessible after a long and grueling quest...but the only requirement to get it is a password which is also mentioned in the wiki.

If the story holds together, it's going to be comedy all the way down.
