Now read the section where Shodan is explaining to Natlateth how long she's waited for vengence, and why. It's the scene right before Gendo destroys and soul-kills Natateth once and for all. Once again, in NXE canon, Shinji's mom, Yui Ikari, was a Grigori. No one knew it with the exception of one human and one demon. Both of them dead now. The angels didn't know. Gendo didn't know. Only God knows now. And he ain't talkin'.
