Dude - if your scoring system is something other than a straight scale, either explain it before using it, or don't use it in public. It doesn't matter how accurate/complicated/special it is - if the people who you're giving the information to can't understand it (or better yet, are likely to interpret it differently from you), then you're wasting your breath.

Or, to put it in simpler terms, don't tell someone that it "tastes like chicken" if you know that they've never had chicken...
