Oh, yes - one minor quibble:

"With Colonel Ellison's compliments, milord..."

I'm used to "milord" being used when there's an actual relationship, rather than just because somebody is a noble. As Lois Bujold put it in The Warrior's Apprentice, "You wouldn't call me 'my husband' even if you heard my wife do so, eh?"
