the characters involved, the details of the setting, and the reason they're there are all completely different, but the vibe of the Fort Alcatraz "Briefing Lounge" was partly inspired by this artwork, which I ran across while I was setting up that scene. I wanted something different from the usual "conference room" thing, and there was just something irresistible about the idea of the gang hanging out in big floopy couches, eating pizza from Fat Slice and being in each other's space, while taking on board something as heavy as Trespasser's attack on NorCal.
