Yeah, I expect that if Jon wanted to find someone, he wouldn't have too much trouble doing so. But since Dan basically decided to strike his own path and give the whole "Great Battle Between Good and Evil" stuff a pass, Jon's probably looking at it as a case of no news (literally, in this case) is good news. If Dan started making headlines Jon would no doubt pay attention to them, but even then probably only in a "do I have to be worried?" sort of way.
