I know what I'm asking for here is mostly irrelevant background info but I'm just so insatiably curious by nature that I couldn't stop myself. How different was the Hidden War in NXE from the one in the games anyway (apart from the fact that it probably didn't end in X-COM sending guys to Mars that is ,and that they didn't have that underwater stuff later on)? Did the Black Mesa incident take place in the NXE universe , and if so , will we be seeing Dr.Freeman ? Rei is an angel right ? That means she's immortal ,right ? What about Jon ? Does his 'heritage' give him a similar fringe benifit ? -Griever he who asks stupid questions .

>How different was the Hidden War in NXE from the one in the games >anyway Not different enough to matter. Second Impact happened, and pretty much ended the war, before the Cydonia mission could be launched. >Did the Black Mesa incident take place in the NXE universe Never decided; probably not relevant. >Rei is an angel right ? That means she's immortal ,right ? One would suspect so, but given what happened to her, one can't be certain. >What about Jon ? Does his 'heritage' give him a similar >fringe benifit ? That would be telling. --G. -><- Benjamin D. Hutchins, Co-Founder, Editor in Chief, Netadmin Eyrie Productions, Unlimited http://www.eyrie-productions.com/

>One would suspect so, but given what happened to her, one can't be >certain. My assumption would be that she enjoys roughly the same mortality level as Jon or the Ayanamis / Ellisons, who seem to be pretty much mortal. The only way to be certain is to shoot her and take a trip up to heaven, and if she's not then you'd feel rather foolish. ;> >That would be telling. >And if she is, she'll want a word with you, and that word will not be, >"Thanks." I imagine it wouldn't be. ;> Well, it's not as though I was suggesting it as a positive course of action. Somewhat akin to tossing DJ in a cage with a feral lion and a pencil sharpener to see if he's the Eternal Soldier. -Eliot "Though if she's still wholly angelic, she'd probably just have an unpleasant time getting back to Earth" Lefebvre -=()=- We're only given a little time in our lives to waste.
