It took me close to six months, but I finally finished reading NXE to Peggy just before the end of last week. I have been given express orders to tell Gryphon that she wants him to write the movie -- no imperative on a time frame, mind you, just that you eventually get to it, Gryph. She's now as desperate as the rest of us for certain questions to be answered. <grin>

One final thing on the impact of 3:9. We were stretched out on our L-shaped sectional couch while I read to her, me on one leg, her on the other, and our heads almost meeting in a mound of pillows at the corner between them. As I read DJ's last stand, from the moment he sprints down the hill reciting the "Think me not defeated" speech, she slowly sat up, and turned to look at me, her eyes widening with every "I fight for...". And when I got to "I will return", she let out a long breath and whispered, "holy shit."

I think she liked it. <evil grin>
