Well, I suppose there's a chance that it might get implemented, having been suggested here, if Zoner ends up deciding it's a good idea... but you'd be more likely to get it into DCF as a whole by suggesting it at DCScripts' own forums. We're not affiliated with them, it just feels like we are sometimes.

Actually I had the idea months ago, but it isn't like I've had a lot of time to hack things.

I was going to start milder, with a popup something like "This thread already has X posts, are you *sure* you want to reply and not start another one?"

I was thinking of doing something for both the number of posts, and old threads - to discourage resurrecting long dead threads.

These, and many others, are on the list of features for the new board code if I ever get off my ass and work with Jer and Josh. But right now I'm up to my eyeballs in AXNY work.
