#0, Small suggestion - Mini stories
Posted by trigger on Mar-19-07 at 06:58 PM
so I'm digging the Mini-stories archive, so much so that I am starting to wonder if you'd be willing to stalinize the HHG and other *pedia entries in other forms to the Mini-Forum, as they do, kinda, act as minature stories in and of themselves. This would also eliminate the occasional whine for an Eyrie-wiki like thing.

If you think this is a reasonable idea, then to save the moderators time, I'd suggest that the non-Red/Green Forum members post Entry links to a thread. Moderators, could, if they wish, then repost or move the entry to the Mini-Forum.

This is NOT that thread, but only a suggestion.

thoughts?

I've considered moving the BPGD files, H2G2 entries, and whatnot to a new sub-forum of their own (not into the Mini-Stories one; I don't think that's quite appropriate); it would be a relatively easy, if rather boring, task to do that.

As it happens, the thread-moving mechanism in the DCForum admin tools works in such a way that it's not necessary for anyone to go scout them out in advance, as it were. It's just a matter of going down an an appallingly long list of subject lines ticking checkboxes.

Anyway, I haven't been arsed to do it, primarily because it would be a dull way to spend an evening (and also because a lot of the entries, particularly the old ones, are wrong), but it's on the table as something that could get done at some point.

I see I'm not the only one who has been reading/watching way too much British media.

Cool. I figured the moving bit would be boring. Glad to know its in the "possible" category.
