Rob, it's true He's not much of a team player but when it comes to a certain point, He's pretty good at it... Also it's same person, same everything EXCEPT different reality.
He's pretty much Wolverine less the claws, hair, mutant power and an eye.
But look at it this way, Who else would you want to send into a nasty place full of really bad guys?
You did notice that He is listed as being the head instructor of the SSTC? and former director of the Special Services?
