Well, I dunno Gryph, it may not be your best work, but it certainly isn't bad by any stretch. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it's always interesting to see some of the evolution of your writing (one of the reasons I really dig stuff from the Vault and resurrected projects like this). Good stuff, good read. Oh, and I love the ending. :)
