Well. I've finally gotten around to reading the story, and as others have said, it's a really good story Gryph. Now on to the more specific comments.

"what would a person have to spend in a month to follow all of the X-Men related titles now? $20?"

It's not that bad, they've ended several series. At it's height the X-books consisted of I think 8 or 9 monthly series and generally 2 or 3 mini-series at any given time. Nowadays it's down to 5 monthly series (6 if you count Weapon X, a series staring the badguys), and 2 monthly series covering alternate universe X-Men, the Evolution universe and Marvel's Ultimate universe.

hmm, maybe it hasn't been cut back as much as I thought.

"In those days I was heavily influenced by Victor Applegate II's "Tom Swift, Jr." books, "

I remember those, I've got 3 of them still kicking around somewhere.

As a longtime Doctor Who fan myself, I enjoyed the various little references you had spread through out the story.

""Looks like seven humans, a Daemon... maybe a Roklar... and I
dunno what the blue guy is."

By Roklar I'm guessing he's refering to Mr Grimm, and which of the 2 blue guys was he refering to? Hank or Kurt?.

Logan, Kitty and Kurt could all make for good duelist (Logan's quite skilled with a katana as I recall, Kitty's ninja trained, and kurt's demonstrated the ability to weild 3 swords simultaneously with skill (both hands and the third with his tail for those who're wondering). Plus in current comics continuity, Kitty's attending University in Boston (I think) working on some sort of advanced science/technology degree, so she'd fit in well on Tamodachi.

Don, Stark and Doom will have a feild day exploring all the new scientific advances available for them to play with.

But essentially, they are all survivors, so I'm sure they'll find some way of getting by. And it's not like it's the first time any of them have dealt with time/dimensional travel.

Oh, and my guess as to what 'DC' stands for; 'Dimensional Counterpart'.
