EXTERIOR: NIGHT. A moonlit night in a cemetery somewhere. Mike Rowe stands in a freshly-opened grave, next to an open casket.MIKE: I'm Mike Rowe. Mike hefts a mallet and starts pounding a stake into the chest of the sleeping vampire in the coffin. It immediately starts thrashing and hissing and spraying blood everywhere. Mike looks at the camera, blood trickling down his face. MIKE: And this is my job.

Upon further review, I think my favorite part of the image is Rowe's inevitable "aw, gee whiz" moment when the professional vampire hunter he's working with hands him the spade and informs him that he has to chop the head off the staked vampire with it. (Followed by his utterly inept execution of the task.)Segment 2 would have to be an outing with a werewolf slayer, followed by an exorcist. ("My God, is that bile?") "What you didn't see when this dirty job originally aired was that Barsky got bitten by the werewolf. He's okay now, but he was sick as a dog - no pun intended - after a week of preventative belladonna casseroles." (Thanks to Wedge and Mephron for bits of an earlier discussion I used in this follow-up.) --G. -><- Benjamin D. <snicker>I've never seen an episode, but for those on the wrong side of the Atlantic, Tony Robinson works just as well in the role. Yes, the Blackadder and Time Team Tony Robinson: a couple of years back he did a similar series called The Worst Jobs In History. Fun. :) -- Unable to save the day: File is read-only.

Tony Robinson endures having leeches stuck onto him with a certain panache. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D. I've been wondering when we'd see something with Mike Rowe, as Dirty Jobs seemed the kind of show that would tickle the Eyrie Crew's fancy.------ Jon Helscher I'm here to slow you down, cost you money, and generally retard the process. -Mike Rowe: Dirty Jobs
