In the never-completed Shada, there was a Time Lord living at Oxford who made his TARDIS replicate his living quarters there. You stepped through the door and into the TARDIS, which was disguised to look like a professor's quarters. I believe that the episode had him launch his TARDIS later, leaving a blank room behind.
