But considering that you made the Stig a SPARTAN, or an equivalent, G, I found this picture and thought that it is quite possibly what would happen.![]()
Not the kind of thing you normally find. But then, I don't go for everyday stuff. "It's difficult keeping up with the cross-continuity, but I think Cosmouse just gave The Saturnian Scraphunter his Ultimate Pacifier to use against Galactapuss..."

>But considering that you made the Stig a SPARTAN, or an equivalent, G, >I found this picture and thought that it is quite possibly what would >happen. I think of the Stig the same way that (so it's been reported to me) Chris Claremont thinks of Lockheed: As soon as you think you know what he is, that's when you can be most certain you're wrong. :)
That said, that could happen, although it's a near-certainty that it wouldn't go as well as the still frame implies. Clarkson's armor probably wouldn't work properly, particularly after he exceeded some operational tolerance or another; Hammond would find the weapon's recoil considerably greater than he was expecting; and May would carp constantly that going into combat wearing powered armor and no helmet is stupider than expecting decent ride comfort out of anything optimized for the Nürburgring. --G. -><- Benjamin D. As far as I'm aware, the armour the Gears wear is not powered, it's enhanced- monitoring systems, drug injectors, various sensors, and what have you. Also, it's been said repeatedly in the series that the helmet, while a good idea, impedes vision more than anything. But all things considered, surely an assault rifle with a chainsaw bayonet is something right up Clarkson's (remarkably unsubtle) street? And in-series, wearing the helmet is like being given a Red Shirt before you get on the Enterprise. Only one character in the games who wore the helmet survived until the end. >Gordon Freeman didn't need one in Xen, either This is very true. This is so obvious, I can't believe I've never thought of it myself.Mind you, even if I had, I doubt I could do anything about it, as it is my opinion that I used up all my writing talent when I was seven.
