Okay, I'd probably get flayed for being off-topic anywhere else, but since this board doesn't really have an "on-topic" subject, it seemed safe.

Anyhow, I've just finished up the first season of my first really big original writing project, on20. After working on it for a little over a year... well, I'm ecstatic, to say the least. Especially considering that I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Just wanted to brag needlessly.

Success. It's infectious.

You mention this in your blog and you post this here. But you're not going to post it until November 1st, are you, you bastard? ;P

Or as soon as I get three other things to stick up on the page, one or the other. So, yes, you're probably going to have to wait until the first to read it. But don't worry - nobody's getting special treatment here. I'm torturing Erin with that knowledge as well.

Although frankly, she's not as satisfying, because she's able to refrain from making guesses about it. She's just satisfied to wait until I post it, and then read it and talk about it.

I've been wondering, where exactly did you get the name on20? I'm a fan of the series but the origin of that name has been bugging me for a while.

You know, one of these days I think Eliot may get sick of answering this question.

Hasn't happened yet, and considering that it's an odd title with a thoroughly implausible origin, I think there's a certain "naw, there's more to it than that, he's just not telling us" factor. So I'm willing to continue entertaining it.

Although I am a little sick of the fact that despite the statement of the title's origin on the index page, that's still far and away the most frequently-asked question I get about anything on the site...

Just came up with it. Call it divine inspiration, call it an attempt to jump in on a trend, call it whatever you like - the title just came to me, and once I said it a few times I knew that it stuck perfectly. The main reason I stuck with it instead of something more descriptive is the simple fact that it doesn't mean anything, in a way - you hear it and it sounds catchy, but doesn't give you the whole picture.

So, in a way, it's a snippet of an idea that I liked and held on to. And it's worked - nobody who I've mentioned the title on20 to hasn't asked for more to go on.

I've always thought you came up with On20 while you were OnDrugs...

Since I don't do drugs in any fashion whatsoever, that would be very difficult.

Oh, and the capitalization is intentional. on20 is the name of the series. On20 is... well, nothing really. It's nitpicky, I know, but the erratic and incorrect capitalization is part of why I latched on to it.

Heh. That just gave me a great title for an OAV. I haven't any sort of plot for it, but the title is good.

I'm in.

I guess you should make it as violent as posible, and with lots of sex.
