Several users have been putting surveys up on the web (hardware, weapons, etc.) Should we have a seperate forum for this?

But that would encourage more of those threads!

This from the guy who put up a Symphony poll?

Any way, we'd probably do it without the encouragement. Like, _how_ many weapons posts did we get? I'm sure someone is going to copycat your poll d'jour and ask "who is the best <fill in w/random Eyrie series> character?" or do a Misato vs. Sylia Stingray competition. This way it's kept separate from the important stuff, like arguing about existence restaurants on top of buildings.

That's what the polls are for.

It's not what the forums are for.

Ah. Does this mean that you would rather _not_ see surveys?

It doesn't matter a great heap to me - I just don't bother reading them most of the time - but going and actually setting up a forum for them seems a bit silly. (And it would make the table too big to fit into my browser window without vertically scrolling to pick up eyrie.test. :)

pobrecito. My 17" monitor has already required such a difficult sacrifice from my scroll finger.

Alas, alack. You clearly must protect youself from such a terrible circumstance.

I agree with Astynax... I have a 14" at 1024 and I have to scroll too... So what's the diff?

I scroll at 17" 1280x1024. And I've purposely got a rather small font as my default, and I hafta scroll down to see eyrie.test.

at 17" and 1600x1200 I just barely make it, and I have to scroll down to make test fit on the bottom.

Well, yeah, that's what I mean. I can fit all of the topics on screen at once, but I have to scroll down from when I load it. I could avoid that if I made the browser window full-screen, but I'm averse to making any window full-screen. Waste of screen real estate.

DCF 6.2 includes a built-in poll function.

Which I'll probably be enhancing...

Ok, fine, I'll rephrase.

It's not what these forums are for.
