For your listening pleasure: the unofficial theme song of TTW Act IV, which is not actually in the story, but which crossed my mind... quite often during the construction of various scenes.

Added amusement can be obtained by envisioning the parties in question dancing an actual tango to this tune later on, when they can both laugh about what a mess the early days of their acquaintanceship were.

I ache for the touch of your lips, dear
But much more for the touch of your whips, dear
You can raise welts
Like nobody else
As we dance to the Masochism Tango

Let our love be a flame, not an ember
Say it's me that you want to dismember
Blacken my eye
Set fire to my tie
As we dance to the Masochism Tango

At your command
Before you here I stand
My heart is in my hand (... eugh.)
It's here that I must be
My heart entreats
Just hear those savage beats
And go put on your cleats
And come and trample me

Your heart is hard as stone or mahogany
That's why I'm in such exquisite ogany
My soul is on fire
It's aflame with desire
Which is why I perspire when we tango

You caught my nose
In your left castanet, love
I can feel the pain yet, love
Ev'ry time I hear drums
And I envy the rose
That you held in your teeth, love
With the thorns underneath, love
Sticking into your gums

Your eyes cast a spell that bewitches
The last time I needed twenty stitches
To sew up the gash
You made with your lash
As we danced to the Masochism Tango

Bash in my brain
And make me scream with pain
Then kick me once again
And say we'll never part
I know too well
I'm underneath your spell
So darling if you smell
Something burning it's my heart
(hic! 'scuse me)

Take your cigarette from its holder
And burn your initials in my shoulder
Fracture my spine
And swear that you're mine
As we dance to the Masochism Tango

Apologies for the necromancy, but here's something that's been rattling around in my brain since Gryphon posted this. It's the song that, in my head, The Other is breaking into during the climactic battle of Thicker Than Water. With further apologies to Tom Lehrer:-

---

Full moon's here,
A-the full moon is here,
Life is skittles and life is beer
I think we're blessed to have twelve times a year
A full moon, I do! Don't you? Course you do.

But there's one thing that makes this complete for me
And makes every full moon a treat for me!

Aaaall the
World sings in tune
'Neath the light of the moon
As I'm gunning down Gryphons in the park!
When it shines thus you'll see
Ma trop chere famille
As I'm gunning down Gryphons in the park!

When he sees me coming, big brother might try and hide,
But he ought to be grateful it's this and not cyanide,
Oh, the stars shine so bright,
Everything seems alright,
As I'm gunning down Gryphons in the park!

I've gained notoriety
And caused much anxiety
In what vampire society
Still remains
Sis calls for propriety
And counsels sobriety,
Else might mourn a variety
Of five-oh-first dames,

But for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tiffin,
I'll drain all the blood from a Gryphon!

Soooo, if,
Now you are free
Join the Child and me
When we're gunning down Gryphons in the park,
And maybe we'll do for that damned moustique too
After gunning down Gryphons in the park

I'll murder you all for my mirth and my merriment,
And if you two won't die, then it's time to experiment!

Oh the charms I'll extol
Of each cauterised hole
I'll blast in a Gryphon -
I'll make him a stiff'un -
I'm gunning down Gryphons in the paaaark!

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

yes i know it's an anachronism it's also a joke.

That does, indeed, pretty well sum up the first part of that evening.
