Erm. Ahem. Um. Cool.

I'm more partial to Image030.jpg and Image032.jpg. (Had I been at AWA and walking by while you were taking 32, I probably would have walked into a support column or wall or door or something else... I really do need to get to more anime cons...)

It reminds me of when I was at ConnCon '99, and I'm sitting at a table in a hallway with the guy I was there with, reading game rulebooks, when three LARPers walk by (I hadn't known that the game had started yet, so this was a double shock), two guys in T-shirts, blue jeans, and capes, and a rather mousey girl wearing Coke bottle glasses and a vinyl B&D outfit (including knee-high boots) walked by. My brain just ground to a halt, and for a few seconds I forgot how to read.

Nah, 20 is coolest.

Seriously, though, 12. Then 13.
But 17 looks like she actually should be in the costume... even though I can't tell who she's supposed to be.

>Nah, 20 is coolest.

Whenever I find a picture like that I wonder what it means. Would that be Geoff?

>Seriously, though, 12. Then 13.

Boba Fett and the cast of Space Ghost are cool and all, but I still like my girlies. Besides, for coolness, I have to say the best costume is the guy dressed as an angel.

>But 17 looks like she actually should be in the costume... even though
>I can't tell who she's supposed to be.

Is her skin purple because of makeup or weird lighting? At first, I thought it was the former, but on looking again (and this time at the larger picture), I'm starting to think it might be the latter, or a combination of both. Especially when I look at her hand and notice how it's purple (well, okay, lavendar) on the top but a normal skin hue on the bottom.

And I'm not sure if I'm out of the anime loop or not, but I only recognize about one in three characters. Boba Fett (of course), the Space Ghost CTC people, the Mega Man characters, Nakoruru, the Trigun characters, and, of course, Utena... um, without looking again (and, over this dialup, that can be excruciatingly slow), those are all I can remember recognizing. I don't recognize 30 but I feel like I should. (Of course, looking at her can make thinking difficult.) 17 is another one I feel like I should know but can't put my finger on. Anyone feel like trying to identify everyone?

Nope - I've met him at several cons and that's not him... Now if I could only get a picture of him wearing his Fez... :)

I'm 99% sure it's a lighting issue - I helped set up the lighting at WorldCon so I've gottan a clue about its visual impact :)

I don't recognize a whole bunch of them either, but then again I was almost totally lost at Otakon... There's just too damn much anime out there :)

The tinge is an artifact of the lights in the Dealer's Room. All my pictures taken in there have people that look blue-ish. The Iria, the Faye and Spike... alla dem.

That's my friend, artist James Dawsey, who I took a picture of, and when the page is finished and all links and stuff are up, will be titled 'Portrait of a Grumpy Artist Who Needs More Commissions'.

My, My. Such creativity these days. Kind of depressing though... I just realized that I don't recognize most of these charecters! In fact, about 90% of the pictures I looked at and had no idea who they were based on... Except for 30 and 32... those I was to buzy drooling to have the question cross my mind.

Ok, I wasn't there, but I'll go through them and ID the ones that I can...
1) Tri-gun
2) Morrigan from Darkstalkers (Capcom fighting game, and a bad, bad cartoon)
3)I have no idea. Neat outfit tho. Like the wig.
4) Again - No clue. But I have this nagging feeling that I know what who it is..
5) Usagi Yojimbo...I think...The character is a guy, and there hasn't been a female rabbit in any of the manga's I've read, but then again, I've also never seen another Samurai Bunny...
6) Clockwise from top left: Ultimacia from FF8, Rinoa (ibid), and I think the little sprite is Shiva from same..
7) I have no clue...Nice gun tho..another one of those ones that nags in the back of my head: "You know that gun!"
8) No clue. I think the guy is lupin tho..
9) CW from top: Ultimeca, Shiva (I think) and Seifer (bad guy from FF8)
10) (L-R)MM, and ZX from the MegaMan game series..
11) (L-R) MM, ZX, and I think he's supposed to be Razor Leaf Power MM..but I could be wrong, I haven't played the DC MM games..
12) Right...you don't know this one, and I'll come over to your house and toss you into a sarlacc pit..
13) Cast of SGC2C
14) You know, I'm not sure..but I want to know...
15) I *think* that she's Sakura from Outlaw star, but I could be wrong. There's several characters that she could be...
16) No clue..but she's missing a pip on her right ear..
17) Ok, she trips *three* characters...1: The Count from Pet Shop of Horrors; 2: Hsien-ko from Dark Stalkers; 3: Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken 2-4; But I'm not sure which one...
18) Ok, looks like we got the norns (one forgot to put her makeup on) and an angel....
19) Ok, sorry folks...looks like I need more anime...right after I get more manga...and more music...and pay my bills...
20) Some Con-Guy.
21) Wolf and Tri-gun: From trigun..
22) A very...purple...costume. And I have no idea what it's based on.
23) Whoopass angel costume. Not sure the basis, but it's still *really* neat.
24) The reason that it's really neat.
25) Squall Lionheart. Hmm, I wonder if he'd sell me that gunblade...
26) Zidane from FFIX. (Yes, I know Zidane's a guy...) But she's missing a knife.
27) Kuja from FFIX
28) A very grumpy looking fellow carrying a cross.
29) Pink wig...lightning bolts...Hmm...Haven't read the Flash in a while...:-)
30) *drool* excuse me folks while I pick my jaw up...(tho I don't know who it is..
31) See 17.
32) Hey! I know her! I don't know who she's dressed up as, but I know her!
33) No clue...cute ladys in skimpy outfits...
34) Right, well...we've all seen this one...

ok, I got 22/34 (I think..) If any are wrong, well you get what you pay for...)

Iria

Bebop and his female secondary character whose name I can't remember.

>14) You know, I'm not sure..but I want to know...

On the right is the cat-girl from the anime with the scoop noses, with a certain mech which, when transformed, leaves it's pilot on the OUTSIDE... enough of that. The other two, eh, also from that series. More or less nameless bad guys.

Looks like Sephiroth to me.

It's Spike and Faye from Cowboy Bebop (with a plushie Ein for flavor, and a somewhat craftily hidden Bandai bag--are they real con-goers or corporate plants? nyuk nyuk).

As somebody else pointed out, Iria.

Looks like Nakaruru from SS, but with a yellow sash and no sword.

It's not Hsien-ko (doesn't have huge-ass sleeves) or
Ling (doesn't match any of her fighting outfits.)

Ease up on the sphincter, Tex. I already said I plan to put the info up soon - I just ran out of motivation.

I was amused by the image. It's just that the thread then started looking like it was going to turn into everybody and his duck identifying the rest of your cosplay pictures, which has bugger-all to do with UF. :)
