#0, The Only thing you did wrong with NXE..........

was to start a project based on a series that many 0t4k00z
bow down and worship as though it were anime's answer to
Citizen Kane

*Is Suprised that the Utena Cult hasn't slammed you for UF:SOS
yet*

*Wonders how many NXE basher have actually read the it or are just
so that the can say "1 d1zd NX3 @ 3pY00 1M z0 1337", or just skimmed
a chapter or two, having already made up there minds about it, and
read what the wanted to read*

Brad (Who read NXE *before* watching NGE, and while he can watch
certain episodes of the latter, considers the series as a whole,
especially the second half(where things get weird and we learn it
was in Shinji's head), to be pretentious swill)

Did you think that maybe this had somehow managed to elude my notice?

Sheesh.

The only thing I can say in defense is:

It was late, I was tired, I had just encountered a few of the cultists
in Question when I enter "Eyrie Productions" into Google to see what
I would get, and needed to vent somewhere without getting flamed.

Brad (Who should have listened to the little voice in my head telling
"no" like I usually do)

I watched NGE *before* reading NXE, and *I* think that NGE is pretentious swill.

Hideki Anno is an 'artiste'...the word that I have begun to associate with 'smug, self-important, intellectual-sounding, pseudo-philosophy-spouting twits'

It's also what I associate 'art critic' with.

Art, in my mind, should *NOT* need analyzing. If the average person cannot tell what the hell something is supposed to be, it's not art. But I digress.

Anyone who worships NGE isn't worth paying attention to.

Oh, we've been there, done that, bought the tshirt, did the dew, and had it memorialized in carbonite. Got it right out of the way in the first month or so the forums opened here.

Oh, the memories. Rants, Trolls, insanely long loading times on the school computers, all that stuff. Thank god those are gone (Well, except the rants). I'm actually game to stick my head in this forum now.

FWIW, I can attest that my ex didn't actually read NXE before flipping out about DJ Croft.

I sometimes wonder if I work for EPU because I know that somewhere, he wakes up in a cold sweat without knowing why from time to time. ;)
