Thanks to Gryphon and a friend who responded almost simultaneously; I didn't think an app would be able to filter out the noise and recognize these, but it seems the Future is Awesome! --- Help me, Eyrie General, you're my only hope... seriously, you pretty much are at this point. :/ Way back in '91, Eyrie was not the only anime fan (writing) project I was involved with. There was also a fun little trifle called... FurryMECH. (If anyone's really curious, I found the first two acts - all that ended up being written - here.) Someone else made a mix-tape soundtrack - one that was sadly unannotated. And while I've managed to identify and/or acquire some of the music that went on it, other tracks remain a mystery to me. Some of which I'd really like to get, if I can. The tracks I have been able to identify are a mix of 80s anime (including Iczer-1 and the original Transformers movie) and assorted other mood music, including Enya's "Cursum Perficio". The audience segment who might be familiar with such work is shrinking every year - indeed, my window may have already closed - but I figure that you all represent my best remaining chance. Here are segments of the relevant tracks, for your inspection and/or identification. Please excuse the quality; the tape was already at least 15 years old when I got these bits converted to mp3. I'd almost be afraid to try playing it now. Aftermath (1) (2) Invasion Love Theme And if anyone would like to recommend, or try feeding these through, a good music-recognition app, that'd be great... but due to the noise on the tracks, I'm not getting my hopes up in that regard. All those artists were/are published by Narada Productions, a New Age record label - the first three tracks are all on The Narada Collection, Volume 2 (1989), while "Stepping Stars" is from Arkenstone's 1987 album Valley in the Clouds. --G. -><- Benjamin D. Shazam can routinely tell what's playing over the overhead PA speaker at my local supermarket. It didn't have any measurable problem with a bit of tape hiss. :) --G. -><- Benjamin D.
