At some point in GG1, I miscalculated Remilia and Flandre's years of birth, so every mention of their ages (and Remilia's statement of her birthdate in GG2/II) was off by one. They were born in 1502 and 1507, respectively, not 1503 and 1508. As of the current point in the storyline (July 1946), Remilia is 443 (soon to turn 444), and Flan is 438 (she'll turn 439 on October 31).

This doesn't really affect much, but it annoyed me when I realized I'd done it. I think I've fixed all the various misstatements of ages and dates that have resulted, but I may have missed one or two (if I did, they're probably points in conversations where Flan protests about her age).

Well, to a woman, that 1 year can make a difference. πŸ˜›

Hehe. =) I mean, after 400-some years, not sure it's quite as acute a deal. Even as teenager-y as Flandre is.

Real, practical difference? No.

Amusing kerfluffle for Remilia to hold over Gryphon's head for comedy value? Or for Gryphon to tease her over? Yes!

Well, it's probably a good thing Flan's given up calling Gryphon "big brother," then. :)

Strictly speaking, he's still older than she isβ€”in fact, he's older than either of them, since he calculates his age based on his birthday and the "current" date in his home timeline, which is not how old he actually is. For instance, it doesn't take into account the fact that, although he was absent from his native reality for 24 years between 2356 and 2380, he spent 39 in the alternate universe he was in during that time (from local years 2264 to 2303).

Neither fiddling distinction is going to stop the Scarlet sisters from viewing him as being between them in age, though, because they both think it's amusing. :)

Which, IMO, is the sort of thing that trumps any other factor.

So she's older than Gryph?

Depends on how you look at it. :)

For added fun, if and when they all relocate to the 25th century, Remilia will waste no time in claiming to be more than 900 years old, even though she's no such thing. And he'll let her do it, with that patient smile that means he's overtly humoring her. :)

"I'm over 900 years old. Do you know what that means?"

"It's been a while?"

"What? NO!"

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

This is making me think about applying Doctor Who supporting cast roles to the various people in GG. I wonder which of the 501st is Strax... oh who am I kidding, it's definitely Lucchini.
