The mission started off simple; go after a supply train, with a large amount of psionicists protecting it.

I spotted a trio of what appeared to be Priests, and set up my ambush. Sharpshooter says bang, one dead, two wounded, and the show is on.

Except one of my ambush team was close enough to a second group of X-Rays to get their attention once I broke cover. Couple of Sectoids and a Codex. Okay, this is a bit more than I want at once.

Then the severely wounded Priest 1) spotted my Phantom Ranger, and 2) gave his protection to the Codex, in spite of knowing that he was within running range of a guy with a sword and a shotgun.

So, between a Sectoid's Psi Zombie and a not-too-thoughtful Priest, XCOM got some nice two-for-one deals on ADVENT troops.

Are there any times that you've seen ADVENT make mistakes in their planning?

Something they want to keep intact. Sectopods. Every time.
