"What... was THAT?"
Jon turned. "Oh, that?" he said nonchalantly. "Well, Marina,
it turns out I'm a genetically engineered demon-human-angel hybrid,
and I'm finally learning to enjoy the demon part."
Marina stared at him slack-jawed for a second, then blinked,
shook her head, and grinned.
"Oh," she said.

This just about had me busting my gut.

The entire rescue part, from stealing the van, to Rei's dream, was
wonderful. Gendo was hilarious, and Eva 01's activation really threw me
for a loop. I remember way back when there was one of those wild
speculation threads going, and you said you'd already had Eva 01's next
activation written/planned (I don't recall which) I would NEVER have
expected what you did, especially what Lucifer did in the end! :)

"Allow me, cousin," said the dark-haired, slim young man with
a sardonic little smile. For a second, San thought it was Jon, until
she realized that it couldn't possibly be because Jon was outside.
"Who - ?!" she demanded, her hand going automatically to her
belt before she remembered that she'd given up her weapon.
Dan Ellison smiled, finished rascaling the lock, and stepped
back with a flourish as the enormous powered door ground open.
"Give Ni one for me, San," he said, and trotted off down the
hall without looking back.

This really had me going spastic in my chair as I read it. I've been
really surprised by Dan's actions thus far.

This ended up a beautiful story, and I thank you very much for
providing it.

There's a lot more that I could comment on, would LIKE to comment on,
but it's 6:10am here, and I'm LONG overdue for bed.

hehe that really caught me by surprise too... I was half expecting
them to fight their way out on FOOT!.:)

I suppose that Dan is the Runt of the Ellison brothers..

Yeah NXE:TMP was very nice, :) but somehow the whole movie did
not feel like the ending at all... to me it felt more like
"the adventures are just beginning" kind of thing. but that's just me...

HA! The release date was actually 6:00 AM over here! once
I worked that out I somehow found the will to wake up and get it...:)
