It's Laura Kinney. (The file name might give you a clue. :)

Oh. Now I feel sheepish.

For a while there I was thinking Kaitlyn because of her hairstyle, but I knew that couldn't be right because last I checked Kaitlyn wasn't really that into Nine Inch Nails. That, and I don't recall her being as fond of Converse Allstars as her dad. :)

Now that I know who I'm looking at, it all makes sense. Can't imagine she's terribly pleased whenever she's gotta ruin another set of perfectly good shoes. Although with her on the IPO's payroll I can imagine that she could find someone to fix something up that accommodates her better.

That's what the tape is for! I got the idea from the patches of doped fabric the aircraft mechanics used to put over the muzzle ports of WWII fighter planes' machine guns during post-mission servicing. They kept crud out of the guns at least until the next time they were fired.

Probably, but she's not on the IPO payroll.

Oh, man...I didn't realize it was because of the claws, I figured it was just a shot of her, you know..taping up another pair of boots/chucks

Which leads to a question: Did Skuld (or anyone else for that matter) ever put in proper ports for her claws so they don't just cut through her skin?

There is always the humble sandle if she doesn't want to wear full on shoes. Or going barefoot-though how do you form callouses with hyper-regeneration?

Considering some of the places she's probably going to be walking? Yea, I'd stick to taping my shoes together too...ugh.

J. Micheal Fay, who walked across Africa with sandals and duct tape, might disagree. I can clearly remember those articles-and he was eschewing boots and socks completely during his 1500 mile 15 month long trek across the heart of darkest Africa. Unless you're in arctic conditions, you can probably make do with sandals and tough feet.

Don't feel too bad. The tape over the shoes went over my head until I noticed the NIN t-shirt. Then it felt like a brick dropping on my head as the other hints (previously sailing over my head, obviously) pretty much smacked me.
