#0, Hello me, it's me again

Gleetings. Many of you people probably do not know me, but I've kept an eye on UF since the mid-90's and perpetrated a sadly unfinished piece of fanfic called "Third Invid War: Dandelions" which I never finished because I am a procrastinatory slob and real life intervened. (Maybe I'll revise and finish it when I'm eighty or something. :P )

I'm also a longtime friend, collaborator and RP partner of Phil Moyer and IRL partner in crime with Larry "R-Type" Mann, and Phil and I are currently working on a lil' Mars Division fic or two that's been on the backburner for a while.

I enjoy cats, sleep, Breyer's ice cream, Robotech, Douglas Adams, Full Metal Panic!, Pratchett, MMO's, Monty Python, long walks on the beach with many naps on the way, my multiple personality disorder, and massive sunburns from the naps I took while walking on the beach in no particular order.

So, yeah. Here I am. ;)

Welcome back! I still remember, after you had disappeared from the Robotech mailing lists, somebody (Chris Meadows, maybe?) trying to convince us that you had never really existed and that your posts were actually made by an AI, the Automated Mailing Yeomen.

I think that was Aubry Thonon. Bastard. ;)

Hell, I'm not sure some days *I* exist. Wait, what?

Here, as you rightly assert, you are. And our lives are all the better for it. =]

I still need to write something though. Read: post something. ;)

Welcome! I don't know about anyone else, but I, for one, would LOVE to see you pick up "Dandelions" again. I still remember when I found that you'd written Chapter 10, getting all excited, and then realizing that you hadn't written more and weren't likely to anytime soon... :(

In any case, welcome to the party!

Thanks, pleased to be here. :)

I'd love to as well, though some bits are gonna need some major overhauling. My 40 year old self is looking back at what my early twenties self wrote and going "WTF were you THINKING?"

Part of my problem is that real life and recovering from same (by slaying internet dragons) really puts a crimp in my creativity. I've also suffered from depression from years which plays hell with the ability to focus, though the past couple years I've been on meds that actually seem to help with that. Dealing with the twin evils of being a procrastinatory mofo and a horrible self-censor don't help either. There ain't no critique meaner to a writer that wants to do well than the writer him/ herself.

In the meantime, I'm tooling away at some stuff for the Mars Division section of the Exile along with Phil, and seeing how that goes. Hopefully someday soon I can whale away at Dandelions again...
