#0, Can't find a story.
Posted by SpottedKitty on Jul-21-17 at 02:37 AM
After a nudge from the latest Doctor news, I've been re-reading all the UF!Doctor stories I could find. (BTW, is there a complete list anywhere, just in case I missed one?) One story I just can't find anywhere is a short-short with Rose, Jack (I think) and a French lady pirate, in which Rose has her first regeneration. Anyone know where it is? Or could it be one of the threads that fell in the bit bucket when the forums went all wahoonie-shaped a while back?

No, it's right here.

(And for the record, Julie's not a pirate. She's just your normal bisexual man-dueling convent-torching 17th-century opera superstar.)

(edited to fix link - PJM)

On an unrelated note, I recently saw this picture of Nora Kerin, which is clearly a pseudonym for La Maupin when she went to the Edwardian Era.

Thanks for fixing that, Phil. I wasn't sure if it was my end or actually on the forum. Work has been implementing some proxy server changes and everything is messed up. What did I miss on the code?

Needed to leave off the "http://"; and add "?x" at the end of the image filetype.

So, there's a show the premise of which is "Host opens a wikipedia article, guests try to guess facts about it", and recently the article was about La Maupin, and I was just like "Oh hell yeah I'm gonna *like* this episode..."

What show is this, what network is it on? I have a need.

That's great, thanks. Must have skimmed right past it, because I wasn't thinking of it as an NF-era story, and I couldn't remember the name.

Not sure where I got the "pirate" idea from, maybe I was cross-thinking about Anne Bonney.

(I shudder to think what would have happened if those two ever met up...)
