#0, A Really Big List

This is going to be a hilarious request.

So in order to disprove to a friend of mine that said 'eventually a crossover that large must start to crumble under its own weight', I'm going to try to introduce them to the Eyrieverse.

The question is, last time we checked, exactly how many properties are IN this crossover anyway? Like, the whole thing.

No, I mean the WHOLE thing.

No really, I mean like, literally, the whole entire thing.

We just added Kemono Friends earlier this month but last time we checked what's the WHOLE thing?

Dirty Pair, Bubblegum Crisis, Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel, DC, Star Blazers, Strike Witches, Korra, Excel Saga...

(oh god)

BTW, the answer to your rhetorical question is, we have never checked what's the WHOLE thing, because that would be insane. And also possibly helpful to hostile lawyers. :)

The closest you're going to get is the listing fans have made on the TVTropes page for UF; though even that's rather out of date (no Kemono Friends on it, or Girls Und Panzer, etc). And on its Shoutout Page for the more brief mentions.

The UF page on All The Tropes is kept more up to date.

Funny story, that page on TV Tropes is the reason that ATT exists at all, and why I started writing fanfic. But most of us who were fans of UF moved over to the ATT fork. (Well, they banned most of us from TVT so we can't update, but that part's an even more complicated story -- like that time I had lunch with TV Tropes' owner and he offered to make us moderators while we were still banned.)

Just in the initial arcs of Symphony of the Sword, there's a basic universe that mixes Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Robotech, Big O and Space Battleship Yamato, then introduces a larger cosmology that structures off Oh! My Goddess, Magic Knight Rayearth and Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I'll bet you could do a really sweet cover of 'We Didn't Start the Fire' with the name refs

I think Mylene Flare already won that prize with her 'Exile timeline' cover. =)

While your friend can be right in many cases, I think it has more to do with an author's inconsistency than the overall "number" of sources they pull from.

While the Eyrieverse may not be 100% consistant all the time - witness the re-relaunch of the Transformers branch, the redo of the Galactic Civil War from one story into a something bigger, the small editorial touches added to the Twilight Saga, UF-Gryphon's return from exile in a Star Trek Universe ballooning from one story into a full saga of it's own - I like to think its more that the creators love their works, but can still look at it and think "Hmm, this is good, but it could be better."

Not all this is apparent in the current iteration of the Eyrie-Productions website; I've been a lurker far, FAR longer here than I've been posting. :)

i generally dont post here anymore, i have been trying to compile the entire UF thing myself because i would like to stuff it all into an easily accessible compact form factor ah la renpy using their v.n. engine to make it easier to jump through all the various chapters. if someone ever does compile a link list to all the parts that are scattered through the forums ill pic up the project again. the omnibus' have helped but i seem to be missing bits with no easy way to figure out exactly what im missing.

im still looking for the trope page 'chekov arrests bester' bit which got me started on the project in the 1st place and that was years back when i came across it

That's in the middle of Day Of Infamy which isn't in the story listing any more. I still like it, but it was published way back in 2002 and big chunks of it aren't a good fit for the current canon storyline any more.

Come to think of it, I like that scene a lot as well; it's a perfect moment of surreality, and yet it works — just the sort of thing UF does so well.
