I'd watch it in a heartbeat, especially if it's badly overdubbed.

I understand that the American dub has inserted footage with Raymond Burr as the bailiff.

One of us is confused, then, because I could have sworn he had a cameo as the defense attorney...

I have off and on wondered just how much it would take to rebuild Tokyo after a kaiju battle.

Apparently, I'm not the only person to ask that question.

I've always semi-assumed that Jet Jaguar is a distant 9and somewhat unpopular) cousin of the Ultra family....

You may be thinking of Ultraman Zearth. Jet Jaguar isn't a benevolent alien energy being, he's an unexpectedly powerful android constructed by a crazy guy in a garage, and, as such, is more closely related to the Red Tornado than the Ultras. :)

Also, I give you Medic Jet Jaguar, possibly the greatest wacky idea that ever came out of the minds at Toho.

After following this link, and discovering the existence of Godzilla Island, I had to wonder how I never learned of its existence before. Subsequent searching found an industrious fan who has uploaded a substantial chunk of the series to a streaming site, sans subtitles, and I have found it to be even more glorious than I had imagined: based on the first two episodes, it seems that the monsters aren't even portrayed by actors in suits, but by action figures, wherever they can get away with it.

I still don't know why I never heard of this before.

I've always been a fan of the old black-and-white version myself. The new color version just doesn't have the same appeal to me.

I await the gonzo awesomely-terrible buddy cop film marathon starring one Mr. T. Drake showing the day after with great interest.

FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

Presumably showing after the de-shittifying remake of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull he made with his Uncle Nathan...

If you search a torrent site for "rodan", you get a lot of hits on this, which, unfortunately, doesn't sound nearly as interesting in real life.

01:00 [Movie] (**½) Nights in Rodanthe
(Color: 2398) A budding romance between two middle-aged divorcees takes an unexpected turn when they discover that the coastal resort where they are vacationing is so reasonably priced (and sparsely staffed) because it is a battleground for giant monsters. Guest-starring Varan the Unbelievable.
