One of the largest sci-fi starship size charts has been finished:

Includes a lot of ships that show up in UF, so I figured people here would find it neat :)

Interesting, though such a chart will never be finished (new ships coming out all the time) and is, in fact, not finished right now, at least if the Star Trek game is a consideration. There was only one Undine/Species 8247 ship, one of their tiny toys in fact.

"Vaguely related, anyone else playing STO think the Undine cribbed their ship design from the Vorlons?"

Indeed, and while the STO ships are faithful to the series, they're getting past the point where any of the show's ships are left to use. The new expansion's ships are made from whole cloth, of course, though they look incredible. (I refuse to spend cash on their ridiculous 'buy all the new ships at once for far too much money' bundle, though.) Point is, the designer of this poster is awesome for doing this and there's no way to please everyone.

Still can't believe he included Freespace! And Xenosaga! So awesome.

As for the Undine/Vorlon ship design thing, I'm not even sure which came first, though I'm tempted to say Vorlon. Problem, as always, is There's Nothing New Under The Sun.

At this point I feel compelled to say that if you play STO, you should give them some money in some capacity in exchange for the value they are providing. I haven't played in a very long time, but when I was actively, I bought fifty bucks worth of random shiny stuff I wanted, which I considered to be equivalent to "buying" the game.

Done and done. Uhm...except I've spent more than $50, in all honesty. I'll still buy things from them on occasion. But they want $125 in one go and that is not happening. Better for me to get just the ships I want, and dunno what I want yet.

Well "finished" in this case means "The artist is done adding and tweaking things"

I did find the reasoning for not including the tardis to be amusing though :)

Even in starship design, there's always a bigger fish.
