#0, 2011.04.21: Wait, what?

Background: There's a comic book writer named Kieron Gillen. My comics-blogging pals mention him reasonably often in the studio, and every single time I see his name dropped in conversation, my eyes automatically inform me that they've just seen "Karen Gillan". This often leads to absurd mental images, but never more so than last night:

Apr 21 03:01:26 <Ardaniel> <"Fraction was the writer on the previous Thor series, which has been renamed Journey Into Mystery (the title of the comic Thor first appeared in way back in 1962) and now stars writer Kieron Gillen.">
Apr 21 03:01:30 <Ardaniel> --wow
Apr 21 03:01:37 <Ardaniel> I would totally read a comic that was all about Kieron becoming an Asgardian
Apr 21 03:03:05 <Z-Gryphon> snrk
Apr 21 03:03:53 <Z-Gryphon> 'scuse me a second, I need to savor the mental image that my Usual Instinctive Misread of that name just gave me
Apr 21 03:04:55 <Z-Gryphon> whomsoever holdeth this hammer, be she a six-foot Scottish redhead, shall possess the power of Thor
Apr 21 03:05:58 <Ardaniel> heh

Apr 07 23:46:52 * Z-Gryphon snorts as his brain crosses documentary narration with an inappropriate movie quote
Apr 07 23:47:45 <Z-Gryphon> "Attila the Hun isn't like Genghis Khan. He doesn't make plans. He doesn't build anything. He doesn't leave a legacy."
Apr 07 23:47:49 <Z-Gryphon> "... He just runs programs."
Apr 07 23:47:52 <Slarti> haha
