On New Years weekend, a friend of mine introduced to Within Temptation, their music not the band and this song in particular. Listening to it, it instantly made me think of Akio and Utena clashing on the duelist platform in the climax of Knight of the Tenth World it was just so on the nose. The lyrics seem to sum up Utena's struggle up to that point and this momnent is now her triumph over that pain. Well you can judge for yourself,

I friggin' love that band! I'll admit, I've listened to them while reading SOTS. They're actually one of the more "traditional" selections in that aspect.----

Amen to that. I love symphonic metal in general, and their "The Howling" might be my very favorite song of that genre.
