#0, *SPOILERS* Fulcrum V *SPOILERS*

Since Juni-chan is curious, I thought I'd start a spoiler thread. :D

Anyway, the ending had me think of Kei in Project Eden with Bruno's beam saber thing. I'm 100% confident that a lot of beings are about to have a very bad day.

Wow, 70 reads of this thread and not even one response yet. So, of course, I have to chime in.

I haven't seen much of DP, and certainly none of Project Eden, but it's oh so satisfying to watch Kei get the chance to effect her own release! Not a damsel in distress is she, oh no.

Also for spoilerage, I never, ever in a million years expected Emmy to get that final dark side epiphany and -perform Kamor Bakhva alone- in almost the same moment. What a crowning moment of awesome.

Can't help feeling sorry for the poor girl, though...Len is still gonna be kinda stuck on Achika, after all, and I just can't see Achika being willing to share...

Len's a Detian, and Emmy comes from a line who consider 1,500 years old to be 'early middle age.'

They have nothing but time to figure themselves out.

I also don't see why Achika wouldn't be 'willing to share' here, given the way these situations tend to turn out in UF. But that's just me reading the bias, and not necessarily her character. (For the record? I'm with the bias on this one. Dude just got reconstituted from infinity by 'the other girl,' I'm pretty sure Achika could come to terms with sharing him with Emmy after that.)

Also, don't Jyuraians have ungodly long lifespans too, or am I misremembering things?

EDIT: Nevermind. It doesn't matter, since Achika's half-Detian.

Being 'half-Detian' is a lot like being 'a little bit pregnant'. For all practical purposes, she's got the full meal deal.

Beyond the bias...Achika also made it pretty clear she was happy with a fresh start not too long ago. Who knows what the future holds?

Hum. Well, with the last couple comments, even I have to admit the precedent is very much there. Doubly so if the old marriage conventions on Jurai from the original anime still hold.

Anyway, we've got the makings for a very interesting Jedi temple on Naboo now! Len, Emmy, sometimes Achika and/or Darth Vader popping in on occasion, Saionji maybe, and for students Skywalker, hopefully his girlfriend if she gets over her moronic vengeance kick, Padme obviously...

Fun times!

For Len? a LOT of meditation! Cause it sure seems like he's following in Dad and Corwin's footsteps and collecting a following of women who feel a great deal for him.

Though as a Jedi, one MIGHT think that the force would clue him in better to whats happening to him. Then again, Cluelessness about women attaching themselves to them seems to be a Hutchins family trait.

For the first time in a while, though, I feel Very let down G. And here's why: After all that buildup, the machine basically fizzles. Sure, I understand your reasoning, but at that point I kinda felt like ol Marvin the Martian... "Where is my earth shattering KABOOM?!?!?!?!?"

Somehow it feels to me like the ending should have gone more like "Emmy wrecks machine, Machine is going to run away and destroy EVERYTHING. Following the whispers of the force, Len basically pulls what he expects to be a suicide move and uses its power to contact Kei and 'bequeath' her his sabre; only Emmy pulls that other Jedi stunt and pulls him back like she and Vader did for Obi-wan.

Hmm.... That reminds me. What does this mean for Emmy, being caught up and channeling all that dark stuff? At the moment, I think she's the better definition of Anakyn having brought balance to the force by having become able to wield both sides without being controlled by either.

Of course, this sort of question usually causes G to do his Jr Vorlon Scout act. So, I guess we get to just wait and see; unless you actually are willing to shed some light on any of this?

I think that Emmy is the first of something new - neither Jedi nor Sith, neither Light nor Dark. Remember how the Jedi glyphs overlaid the Sith glyphs and formed a totally new set of glyphs? I suspect that Emmy is the first of whatever the followers of those glyphs will eventually call themselves. Just as the Sith glyphs pointed towards passion and strength, and the Jedi glyphs pointed towards detachment and control, these new glyphs will point towards balance and understanding that there's a time for both sides and knowing when to act and when to show restraint. That the Dark side can grant power when needed, but it also must not be allowed to take over; while the Light side can protect and defend, but there are also times when you must go on the attack to get things done.

This is a fascinating take on the whole Light/Dark side of the Force concept, and I can't wait to see where it goes. I know this is listed as the final episode of "The Fulcrum of Fate", but I can't help but feel like it's only the beginning of a whole new saga...

Depending on how fond Gryph is of the former EU, she could actually be something old:

Isn't *that* pretty.

I hadn't seen that one before. Though I'm not Gryph, I'm appreciative. :)

I'm glad you like it.

I went through a Daoism phase a few years ago, so that really caught my eye.
