Never in my life have I read a story that takes me to a heavy metal concert and makes me go, "Awwwwwwww~!"

Now, of course, the power of cute compels me to go hit up crunchyroll and watch every episode. The only reason this bothers me is I still haven't finished Mouretsu, and yeah, this 'having a job' thing is killing the important things in my life. =)

Regardless, this whole series has been awesome. It's been really nice to see the band get together again and use their cash for good. =) Kind of paying it forward from MegaZone, in some cases.

Well, this is the first episode that hasn't ended with a line from Mugi.

Therefore, the email must be from her.

Second, actually. Chapter 8 ended with a line from Ritsu.

As for the mail itself? Yea, pretty solid spot to drop a teaser at. Been enjoying this ride immensely so far, and now I'm going to be keyed up for the rest of it when it arrives.

Second or third, depending on whether you count an episode where Mugi wasn't in the episode at all.

I vote for "second."

> "Dismissed!" Ritsu declared. "Mio, I'll pick you up at twenty past."
> "What?" said Mio warily.

Only as much warning as is strictly nessecery :)

> "So!" she declared. "Are we all here? Mio, Mugi, Yui, Azusa, Jun-chan, oh
> great spirits there's two of Yui," she said, tracing a finger down the row.

> "That's Ui-chan," Mugi told her cheerfully.

> "I've never seen her with her hair down before," Ritsu observed. "That's

I think my favourite part of this segment is just reading Ritsu's roll call in deadpan all the way through.

Is...Is that who I think it is?

They hired you to do your thing, not to conform your thing to some pre-concieved notion of theirs. Minami know's the Avatar, I'm pretty sure she knows the value of not trying to force people to change :)
Though, now I think about it, I do wonder how Future Industries -found- them...

Ending on that? You, sir, are a indeed tease.

Nah, probably not. It's pretty obvious from the source that the one you're thinking of is from a different part of the country. It's probably a fairly common name at the regional level (and the canonical Onna-Gumi has a different official English translation to make their logo work anyway).

>They hired you to do your thing, not to conform your thing to some

That's very true, although Norimi has heard enough horror stories about one turning into the other on sponsorship gigs that she was kind of half-expecting, half-dreading it on this one, and is pleasantly surprised that it hasn't happened.

"Take a piece of the pie, why not, I'm not quittin'
Think I'm-a change up my style just to fit in?"

Roughly:

Mugi - her dad -------------\
| \
| \
| /- Korra --\ \ /- Minami
Azalynn - Kate < | >--->--< |
\- Corwin -/ \- Ryo

>> "Uh?" Mio wondered, digging in her pocket for her cellphone. "Who's sending

That was, indeed, rather the idea, yes. :)

I just realized that if Azusa is absolutely determined not to be left behind when the rest of Hokago Tea Time graduates, it can happen.

Of course, this does depend on her being able to hire Professor Kaoru for a tutor.

Well, that's conceivable, I mean, he charges very reasonable rates, and we know from the canon that Azusa is decent at cake. At least if she has Ui helping. :)

She would have to be "absolutely determined", too, because she'd essentially have half a school year to ram a year and a half's worth of the curriculum into. She'd have to sign some kind of medical waiver before the school district would even let her attempt it. :)
