At long last, the finish line is in sight. Sometime in the next couple-three days, we should be able to slap some postage on this thing and finally mail it. This is not a drill.*

Sorry to say, I have no idea either. Normally I can read those hidden eye-crossing messages well enough, but it's not coming together for me. Also, not getting the reference doesn't help. XD

In any event, very much looking forward to the story!

They're all the same image, so there doesn't appear to be a hidden message. Just... random pseudo-hallucination.

Fair enough. The images snap very cleanly together for me when my eyes are crossed just enough to make it look like there's six columns rather than five. Still don't see a message, though. You're probably right.

It was supposed to be a joke about Gryph - er, you - claiming that your being on the final approach might actually be a hallucination. Specifically, this bit.

>* unless I'm hallucinating, which, at this point in the process, has a small but nonzero chance of being true.

I can see this has backfired on me a bit.

I figured as much, and then the others decided to go wander around the yard for a while. Hence, Constable Mac's bemusement. :)

One more teaser.

"It's hard enough to keep her focused on her purpose at the best of times, and you people are a dangerous distraction - a shiny object."

I'm thinking tomorrow or Friday, barring unforeseen etc.

This is the kind of conversation that's going to lead to Korra ripping someone a new orifice. Time will tell if it's verbally or literally.

I'm in exactly the opposite boat! I'm so far behind and wouldn't be able to read it until sat afternoon anyhow.

I'm fuzzy on how it works, but I gather that's what that RSS thing I keep updating is for, so you don't have to do that manually. At least, I hope there was a point to adding a step to the release process. :)

>eh. some of us have never figured out that whole rss thang.

Get a feed reader, such as Akregator<1>.

Add the various feeds of things you want to follow to it, (e.g. blogs, webcomics, news sites), in many cases this is simply a matter of opening the feed page in a web browser and telling it to use (whatever).

Open the reader and trigger a feed update whenever you want to see what people have posted. Most will periodically trigger updates on their own if you leave them running, (many will 'close' to the system tray so that they can do this).

The whole RSS thing really shines in two cases: Anything with a variable update schedule, (e.g. a 'when I can work on it' web comic), and anything with a heavy stream of posts that you mostly skim over, (e.g. a news site, where most of the time the headline is enough<2>).

<1> The default KDE feed reader, choose one that works with your OS/Desktop Environment. Some are available as browser extensions.

<2> "Justice on the rocks: Zamboni a motor vehicle, judge rules, in DUI case" Do you really need any more?
