#0, A couple of questions
Posted by outtouch on Jul-27-01 at 04:37 PM
Hi

Some questions got stuck in my head

1- Rereading Cybertron dreams, when Unicron atacks Fortress Maximus is mentioned transforming for battle, but he has been dead for centuries (and appears in Asgard during Twiligtht).
My guess is this: "Spike" Witwicky (who become Fort Max headmaster after his dead) takes Omega-2 in account of his repeated heroic deeds and lives to see
that battle (I got the weird image of the battle in Asgard, when Optimus brings the autobats in, and "spike" and Fort Max double teaming Surtur).

2- The various aliens with long lifespans, will ever take Omega-2 (i dont know the exact lifespan of a salusian but even thousands of years are very little against inmortality).

(totally out of the treads being posted this days but the questions poped up in
my head yesterday and well, i become a member so, let's use the forums) :)

I would tend to doubt that a human with the Cybertronian technology involved in the Headmaster Process implanted in his body would need any other form of life-extension. See also PCHammer.

Some do, some don't. The Salusian royal family haven't. They have another method, which hasn't been explored, and probably won't be.

Which begs the question, how did Hi-Q, the 'Engine' of Optimus Prime in a Powermaster combination, die of old age?

(can't have it both ways...)

Unless, being the nature of the entire situation that Hi-Q and Prime were in, due to Prime's 'resurrection', it caused Hi-Q to age physically by a slow drain of his life force as well as the powering of Prime, and that helped to 'lock' in the process...

Sure you can; HiQ invented the process. Suppose he wanted to live out his span and become One with the Matrix, to see what it was like? To a well-ordered mind, death is but the next great adventure...

Perhaps it is. But it's not one I'm anxious to head out on the road to soon....

If I was drinking something, I would have spit that out.

I don't know why I'm surprised to find Gryph quoting Harry Potter, but I am.

I didn't quote Harry Potter, I quoted Albus Dumbledore. :)

Nit, nit, nit. I should have italicized Harry Potter. Oh well.

That's what I mean. Now that I've got a pretty good idea of your tastes, I should have figured you'd love the books. (I sure as hell do, but I haven't ordered the UK versions yet.) But the quote from it just surprised me.

To a disordered mind, everything is but the next great adventure.

She is a handful... *nudge, nudge, wink, wink*

Maybe someday I'll get tired of my avatar and have him finally cross over and have some adventures with her or something...

Well, HiQ died of old age at 140, so i always belived PCHammer to be an special case.
Altough now that i think, the process that was developed to save PCHammer's life could have been adapted for Spike and other headmasters
