Keeping with Gryphon's comments in the other thread, I figured I'd start my own thread for my reactions

1) Liza Broadbitch - On one hand, I have to thank you...she's a wonderfully crafted character, and very believable. On theother hand, I hate you, because I can't leap theough the computer screen and STRANGLE the bitch!

2) the whole Psi Corps thing - oh dear...ohdearohdearohdear...

3) Mia called Belldandy "Verthandi!"...knew instinctively who she was...what am I missing?

4) hmm...10th world's in a mess (you STILL haven't explained that Gryphon :) and now Midgard is going to hell in a handbaset...coincidence? I doubt it

5) Durandal - gwaaaaaa...well, you know my thoughts on him, I've certainly been vocal enough about my love for the game :) I won't pester you with questions about whether or not other things from the game will show up...

5a) ACK! random mental image of Dorothy as the Mjollnir Mark IX! ack!

5b) Mjollnir Mark anything...in a universe that has norse gods... ... ... mommy

As always, a wonderful story...this one more of an emotional roller coaster than, perhaps, I should have been reading in my mood, but it dragged me along wonderfully...

a)Mjollnir Mark IV you mean. actually mark 7, because all numbers in Marathon are 7, even the ones that aren't.

b)Of course this leads to this image of Dorothy trading sarcastic barbs with Durandal while blasting Pfhor.

I figured it was because she's half-membarii (sp?). A very spiritual people, and I could see one of them recognizing Belldandy like that.

Err. True. The gods of UF have the "different name to different culture" thing going on. Hadn't thought of that.

They're all on Earth, so she used the Earther name out of respect for locale?

Or Mia might not understand that the universe only has one set of gods who are known by different names? "Well, we're on Earth so it can't be <Minbari name>, must be Verthandi!"

Gryphon and Truss know, but the rest of us will have to wait and see. :-)
