So I've been on an adventure game kick lately, and DOSBox'd up some Noctropolis because I'm old-school like that.

Allow me to quote:

"The computer archives have genetically matched the jawbone's DNA to one Benjamin Hutchins, who is deceased. Documents indicate that Hutchins died during the disasters and his remains were sealed in the city Mausoleum."

Considering this is a strongly comic-book-flavored gritty superhero adventure game, I'm even more amused. :D

How old is the game?

Also, this reminds me that there's an episode of CSI in which one of the suspects (IIRC, the one who turns out to have actually done it) is named Peter Hutchins. That's my father's name, and ours isn't a very common surname, so it was a bit of a record-scratch moment the first time they mentioned him, particularly as I was only sort of half-watching at the time. Wait, what? :)

1994.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noctropolis

Chasing back through the history there, I see a link to Digitech -- which I remember *someone* from around these parts was involved with in some way. I think.

Man, it's been a while.

His ultimate fate revealed at last. Kind of sad, in a way.

It's only a flesh wound.

This does assume that nobody managed to take a few stem cells and force-grow a jawbone, for the purposes of faking his death...
