Gryphon and Wolfgang are stuck for a month in a crumbling old mansion with a vampire. What could possibly go wrong?

Act II: "La Deuxième"

So Flandre's not decorated for Christmas, I see.

Also, I'm not sure how much of the Touhou music you listen to, but you probably should at some point. It's really good. When Flandre appeared, her theme U.N. Owen Was Her popped directly into my head.

Not at the moment, anyway.

Wow, that thumbnail. That's the craziest crazy face since the bit in the last episode of The Big O where Red Dorothy says "GOODBYE—NEGOTIATOR!!!"

"I don't think we should focus on Flandre. That girl's head is like a bag of cats, you can smell the crazy."
"Have care how you speak. Flandre is beyond reason, but she's a vampire, and she's my sister."
"She killed 80 people in three days."
"... She's adopted?"

When I showed that to my son, who is a big Touhou fan, he said, "Yeah, her alignment is Chaotic fucking nuts."

I'm sure it's already been done, but this put a horrifying thought in my head- replacing Flandre's "Christmas decorations" with the Infinity Stones.

Fortunately, there aren't enough of them. :)

So in a quick image search, I didn't actually find any using the Infinity Stones, but I did stumble across something much cooler:

Flandre with the rest of the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil cast hanging from her wings

And so we meet The Walking Apocalypse herself. I have to say I really like this bitter version of Flandre.

Meanwhile, I get the sense that Gryphon would've stayed past the next full moon if Remilia hadn't started opening up. Well, that and patching up the house- far be it from me to suggest that vital engineering personnel might get misdirected into something, but Remilia might want to stock up for some houseguests in the near future, depending on how the current situation shakes out.

"So you're telling me we get a month away from the war, and get fed good food, and all we have to do is a little bit of manual labor? What's the catch?

"This is probably a stupid question, but . . ."

I hadn't thought of this, but it's a great image. Although I don't know how prepared Remilia would be for it—she's accustomed to being alone, so it would be a bit of a shock to the system to suddenly turn innkeeper. :)

No one was entirely certain what the room off the great hall was supposed to be used for. On the ancient master builder's drawings, it was labeled Stoffslager, which rather invited the question of what stuff medieval Rhineland builders thought needed a special room in which to store it.

Wow, I wasn't expecting a second chapter so soon. Things are getting even more interesting, now...

Act III is coming tonight, and, if I may say so, contains a sequence that kicked the crap out of me the other night when I was writing it. Sort of like The Honor of Mars, I'll never be able to record an audio version of it.

Ow! I see what you mean. Just makes me all the more eager to see where you're going with this, though.
