I randomly started rewatching Miniskirt Pirates last night. Jeez, I love this dumb show. That is all.

Well, OK, officially in North America it's Bodacious Space Pirates, but I mean come on, Miniskirt Pirates is much more... concise. It's kind of an old show now, dismayingly enough; there's a thread about it over in the General archive that dates back a ways. (It's also where this Featured Document came from.)

Oh heck! I've gotta find that, thanks~

EDIT: I'm watching now, and the last few episodes (3 and 4) have been giving me some big Starship Operators vibes~ Or Infinite Ryvius, minus the starship powered by teenage angst.

EDIT 2: EDIT HARDER: The title of this show gives one an intensely incorrect idea of the contents of the series. I'm angry at myself for skipping this all this time thinking it was just some bubble headed moe fanservice show. I'd seen it around for a while, but I'd always just dismissed it.

Sadly the best fanfic for this is also a deadfic, it skips forward a couple years to a 'new age of space piracy' and features lots of smart stuff and Chiaki being a super intelligent pirate captain. Shame it's not gonna be finished.

So, here's a question for everyone.

Who is the cutest helmsman in fiction and why is the answer Ai Hoshimiya?

Man, you guys weren't kidding about the last arc there.

This show got executed gangland style by the 'This is an ad for the novels' gun.

Welp, now for the movie~
