What I love is that it could be a video game, or Inazuma could be sitting there, a bowl of Katsudon on her head with an arrow sticking out of it, rice and sauce running down her face.

See, I feel like there's a missing step here. Akagi and Kaga would play Gauntlet.

Bored Destroyers, being similar to Bored Marines, would go out and try to emulate the game directly.

Lesson learned: When emulating Gauntlet in real life, the destroyers are not to use cans of fuel as a substitute for food.
