The next full moon has arrived. One of the Scarlet sisters has plans to mark the occasion. Possibly so does the other...

Well, that's an ominous start to events!

EDIT: Now that I've read the whole thing, wow. I was not expecting that twist at the end.

Also, if SHAEF ever finds out there's a Neuroi-infused vampire lurking in the region, they're going to go absolutely spare.

What the hell was that blast? I thought they weren't going to use atomic bombs against the Neuroi?! Nah, that was just LeMay's head popping when he heard about Flandre.

"This is probably a stupid question, but . . ."

Two salient thoughts.

When Flandre goes off the rails, she doesn't go any way but -hard-.

Neuroi are apparently at least semi-organic or somehow magical, at least at their core, otherwise Flan's dinner would be like eating a cell phone. I expect this may have interesting future implications.

If she had eaten a cell phone, I don't think she would have to worry about roaming charges.....

I'll see myself out....

Neuroi cores! Part of a wildly imbalanced breakfast!

The good news is, it doesn't seem to have had any deletritous effects on her sanity.

I hesitate to ask, but I recognized all of these acronyms excep for "AMS" ... sometimes not being a native speaker is a PITA.

Above Most Secret, the highest classification level used by the Allied Forces in the OWaW setting (derived from the real-life WWII British classification Most Secret, which was used for the ENIGMA decryptions).

Minor edit

Mako calls Gryphon Major here and not his apparently new rank of Captain.

That's because he's a sailor. They only call the captain Captain. :)

Ah, the "courtesy promotion." I've only ever read it done with marines on a ship (either space or sail) so I didn't make the connection.

To be fair, it is entirely possible that Mako is employing it when he doesn't need to be. Tthe situation is weird as hell and he's not completely sure what the right thing to do even is, so he's erring on the side of caution.

There may have been no music cue at the end, but I'm pretty sure I heard Roundabout's opening bars there....
